Join the Embry Hills – Presidential Parkway & Surrounding Communities project team for a fun evening of placemaking, artist visioning, and casual pickleball play at ITP Training Academy! Members of the public are invited to participate in hands-on engagement activities meant to help the team envision the future of the area.
Design Workshop #1
Join the Project Team for a Design Workshop on February 12 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Mountain West Church - Chamblee Campus (3147 Chamblee Tucker Road).
Reflection: A presentation and interactive activities provided multiple ways for community members to learn about the project and share their ideas. The planning team is grateful to all who attended and voiced their input.
Pop-Up #3: Cocoa & Community Conversations
Join us December 15th for a pop-up at the Embry Hills United Methodist Church (3304 Henderson Mill Road) in the Family Life Center/Education Building.
Learn about our project expansion and weigh in on priorities for future. We'll also be serving hot cocoa and holiday treats!
Drop by anytime between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Reflection: The community weighed in on key priorities for the planning effort and shared location-specific feedback.
Pop-Up #2: Business-Focused Community Design Meeting
When: July 28, 11AM - 1PM
Where: Mediterranean Bakery (3362 Chamblee Tucker Road)
What: Join us for an in-person gathering where we will brainstorm, collaborate, and gather your feedback on the area's needs and opportunities. Don't miss this chance to be part of a dynamic discussion that will shape the future of your community!
This meeting will be hosted by District 1 Commissioner Robert Patrick, DeKalb County Department of Planning & Sustainability, Decide DeKalb, and the Embry Hills/Presidential Parkway Small Area Plan project team. It will include both a business-focused roundtable and a public input activity.
We would love to hear your ideas for making this corner of DeKalb better for all who live, work, and visit the area.
Reflection: This meeting focused on streetscape elements and other public realm improvements.
