Project Overview
The Embry Hills and Presidential Parkway Small Area Plan is a study sponsored by DeKalb County seeking to strengthen this area’s unique identity through public art and culture. A small area plan guides the development of a place by creating tools and policies to support the vision and goals of the community.
The study will include an analysis of existing conditions (positive and negative) that impact the ability to create a livable, pedestrian friendly environment associated with the below study area which includes: transportation and mobility improvements, analysis of land use and demographics, and an analysis of retail and neighborhood services.
The Presidential Parkway/Embry Hills Small Area Plan will be developed alongside the community so that it is authentic and locally rooted. It will use cultural and artistic influence to enhance the sense of place.
