Renters Focus Group:If you RENT your home or apartment in the Decatur Terrace area, we invite you to participate in a small focus group about the unique needs and perspectives of renters in this area. This Renters Listening Session will be held in-person on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5:00-6:30pm at the DeKalb County Government Service Center, 178 Sams Street, Decatur, GA 30030. Your input will directly inform the Decatur Terrace Small Area Plan. Please help us plan for the right room size by registering at THIS LINK.

Project Overview
DeKalb County has embarked on a Small Area Plan (SAP) for the Decatur Terrace area with the goals of:
Protecting the character, residents, and long-term stability of Decatur Terrace as change occurs;
Guiding new development to be compatible, predictable, and supportive of the surrounding neighborhood;
Addressing flooding, traffic calming, and pedestrian safety through targeted infrastructure improvements;
Identifying early actions and strategic investments to spark long-term neighborhood improvement.
