Online Survey 🗳️ The Public Survey has been re-opened and updated! Please take this five-minute survey to share your thoughts about the future of this community. The survey will be open through September 14. Take the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DTerrace2
In-Person Survey 🗳️ To facilitate participation for community members without internet access, paper copies of the survey can be picked up at 178 Sams Street, in the One Stop Shop on the table next to the Zoning Update display. Completed copies can be dropped off in the same spot.
Renters Focus Group 🏢 Thank you to those who attended the Renters' Listening Session on August 11!
Public Meeting 🎤 The next Public Meeting will now be held in late October so the feedback from the re-opened survey can be incorporated into the Small Area Plan. Community members will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the plan's draft recommendations at the Public Meeting. Watch this space for the date/time announcement.
Project Overview
DeKalb County has embarked on a Small Area Plan (SAP) for the Decatur Terrace area with the goals of:
Protecting the character, residents, and long-term stability of Decatur Terrace as change occurs;
Guiding new development to be compatible, predictable, and supportive of the surrounding neighborhood;
Addressing flooding, traffic calming, and pedestrian safety through targeted infrastructure improvements;
Identifying early actions and strategic investments to spark long-term neighborhood improvement.
