What is this project?

DeKalb County is initiating its first-ever Comprehensive Housing Plan, a countywide effort that will serve as a long-term blueprint for addressing housing affordability, supply, and preservation challenges in the county while supporting existing residents and attracting new ones.

Which areas are included in this project?

This plan is focused on all parcels within unincorporated DeKalb County. Please visit this link to see a map of the county and its constituent districts: https://www.dekalbcountyga.gov/voter-registration-elections/dekalb-county-district-maps.

What is the timeline for this project?

This project was awarded to Enterprise Community Partners and its partners in Fall 2025 and is expected to end in October 2026 with the adoption of the comprehensive housing plan. Please read the Process & Timeline section of the project website, as well as the Upcoming Engagement Opportunities section, for a detailed breakdown of the planning process schedule and key upcoming dates.

How will my feedback be incorporated into the plan?

Robust, consistent community engagement will ensure that the Comprehensive Housing Plan reflects the priorities of DeKalb County's diverse voices and is an actionable, socially-relevant, living document. Through this process, the public will help set clear housing priorities for County leaders, build consensus around a shared vision and goals, and guide decision-making around the County's housing strategy, resources, policies, programs, and ecosystem building.
